Wann, wo und wie werden wir heute mit dem Tod konfrontiert?
Am häufigsten in den Medien: Zeitungen, Internet, Radio, Fernsehen. Da kann es schon mal öfter passieren, dass man „echte Tote“ sieht, je nachdem, was man sich anschaut. Dann natürlich in zahlreichen Spielfilmen. Die sind dann aber eh
nur gespielt… Dann noch auf den ganzen vielen Fotos von Kriegen, die uns immer sehr nachdenklich stimmen. Weil es gar nicht so lang her und weit weg ist? Weil es meistens viele Tote sind, auf Haufen geworfen, niedergemetzelt,
verstümmelt, würdelos liegengelassen? Und weil es, während wir die Bilder betrachten, gerade in vielen Gegenden, auch in der Nachbarschaft passiert?

Und in echt? Wie oft sehen wir Tote?
Selten. Wenn jemand aus der Familie stirbt, und nicht einmal da immer. Als mein Opa starb, war ich sieben und deshalb noch zu klein – würde man mir wahrscheinlich erklären. Als meine Oma gestorben ist, war ich 18. Wir sind alle ins Krankenhaus gefahren, wo sie friedlich noch in ihrem Bett lag, um von ihr Abschied zu nehmen. Zum ersten Mal in meinem Leben hab ich da einen toten Menschen gesehen und auch berührt. Als später meine andere Oma starb, war ich zu weit weg, um rechtzeitig hinzukommen.
Früher, da war das doch ganz anders. Tote wurden zuhause aufgebart. Alle Verwandten und Bekannten kamen ins Haus, um direkt am Totenbett zu beten.
Oder aber zumindest am offenen Sarg. Da gab’s dafür dann immer auch die gruseligen Geschichten dazu, welche oft Erwachsene nicht weniger fürchten machten als Kinder. Die Angst vor dem Unheimlichen, Ungreifbaren, Unerklärlichen.
Und dann der Tod als Bestandteil des Lebens: Tiere mussten getötet werden, damit die Familie genug zum Leben (Essen) hatte. Ja, heute auch noch, aber das passiert unsichtbar. Ein Fleisch, im Supermarkt gekauft, hat meistens nicht mehr
viel Sichtbares von dem Tier, das es einmal war. Meine Lederschuhe auch nicht.
Die trendige Handtasche meiner Tochter sowieso nicht mehr.
(Apropos: Meine Mama hatte noch so einen typischen 60/70er-Jahre-Schal, so einen, wo der echte Fuchs mit Kopf und Klauen noch dranhängt. Damit ist mir dann mein Bruder immer nachgelaufen, höchst erfreut über mein panisches
Kreischen und Schreien.)
Die wilden Tiere von früher gibt es bei uns nicht mehr, sie sind entweder ausgerottet oder sicher hinter Gittern versperrt. Wir müssen nicht mehr vorsichtig und vorausschauend durch die Welt gehen, weil hinter dem nächsten Baum vielleicht etwas oder jemand uns auflauert und uns fressen will. (Die
einzige wirkliche unmittelbare Gefahr getötet zu werden geht von dummen, betrunkenen oder telefonierenden Autofahrern aus.)

ersetzbar. Dadurch braucht sich keiner mit Verlusten auseinandersetzen. Durch die Entfernung von althergebrachten Religionen sind auch Riten und Rituale
verloren gegangen. Dabei herrschen in der heutigen Zeit zwar andere Gesetze (die Todesstrafe wurde 1950 in Österreich, wie in den meisten europäischen Ländern, abgeschafft), Töten ist aber trotzdem immer noch erlaubt – sozusagen
in verharmloster Form – in Computerspielen, auf allen möglichen Bildschirmen, mit Waffen, die den direkten Zusammenhang verschleiern.

übern Kopf. Endlich sitzt der Schuss, Unmengen von Blut, ein türkisches Kind das weint. Als wir den Bauern fragen, warum er das Blut in Kübeln auffängt, sagt er, das gibt Blutwurst, und wir wissen nicht, ob er’s ernst meint oder nur Spaß
macht… kann man denn Blut wirklich essen???
Ein anderes Mal. Wie wir uns in den Stall schleichen, zwischen den aufgehängten Kuhhälften herumlaufen und Verstecken spielen, uns aber doch irgendwie grausen vor diesen großen Fleischbergen mit Knochen, und schau, was man da sieht, ist das vielleicht die Luftröhre? Und traust du dich das anzugreifen? Igitt!
Traut man sich, was Totes anzugreifen, und darf man das überhaupt?
Dann meine Freundin, etwa 15 Jahre alt, die die kleinen Katzen umbringen muss. Niemand sonst ist da, und sie muss es tun. Wie denn am besten. Ertränken! Also
steckt sie alle zusammen in einen dicken Sack, bindet zu, taucht ihn im großen Regenfass unter, lang, länger, noch länger. Als das Zappeln im Sack immer noch
nicht aufhört, legt sie den Sack auf den Hackstock, und – draufgehauen. E quiekt im Sack, und es bewegt sich. Sie schaut weg und haut noch ein paar Mal drauf. Jetzt ist Ruhe. Ich war nicht dabei, aber es hat mir gereicht, als sie’s mir

Da war ich schon erwachsen – als der verletzte Vogel vor unserer Tür lag. Zum Tierarzt bringen? Der ist doch eh schon halbtot. Als wir nach Stunden wiederkommen, liegt er noch immer da, keine Katze hat ihn gefressen und er lebt immer noch. Kein Tierarzt zu erreichen. Mein Freund hat ihn umgebracht, mit einer Eisenstange aufs Genick, der war aber auch nicht beim ersten Schlag gleich tot…
Ich mag mir das alles gar nicht in Bildern vorstellen.

Rituale und Zeremonien vor dem und beim Töten von Tieren sind – ich nehme einmal an – bei sämtlichen so genannten Naturvölkern auf der ganzen Welt verbreitet. Es geht dabei um den Respekt und die Dankbarkeit gegenüber dem
Lebewesen, das sein Leben gibt um das Leben der Menschen zu erhalten. Diese Völker verwenden dann auch jeden erdenklichen Teil des Tieres, alles wird verwertet, nichts wird achtlos weggeworfen. (War das früher bei uns auch so? Und wann und warum haben wir damit aufgehört?)
Dabei gelten immer sehr genaue Regelungen darüber, wann und wo alles stattfindet, wer daran teilnehmen darf, wer welche Gebete spricht und Handlungen ausführen darf. Ebenso über die weiterführende Verarbeitung.
Völker, die irgendwelche Gottheiten verehren, opfern dabei oft einen Teil als Dank und auch um für die kommenden Zeiten ihre Götter zu besänftigen und um ihre Gunst zu bitten.

Bei rituellen religiösen Tötungen sind oft sehr strenge Regelungen im Spiel, welche uns an ihrer Sinnhaftigkeit zweifeln lassen, wenn Tiere dadurch unnötig lange leiden, wie z.B. im Islam, wo Tiere geschächtet werden, sprich durch einen tiefen Schnitt durch die Gurgel das Tier langsam verblutet. Eine Entsprechung dazu im Judentum wäre das koscher geschlachtete Tier, wobei sich die Regelungen nicht nur auf die Tötung, sondern genauso auf Haltung und
Zubereitung des Fleisches beziehen.
Viele heidnische Religionen zelebrierten Menschenopfer, um ihre Götter milde zu stimmen und Unglück fernzuhalten, wobei oft eigene Kinder getötet wurden.
Auch Jungfrauen waren für Opferungen bei vielen Völkern besonders beliebt, weil sie durch ihre Reinheit der gesamten Zeremonie und Kultur zusätzliche spirituelle Werte verleihen konnten.
Im alten Ägypten und auch in China wurden beim Tod einer höhergestellten Person immer auch eine große Anzahl von Dienern und Konkubinen entweder getötet und mit begraben, oder aber lebend zugleich mit dem Verstorbenen bestattet, um ihrem Herrn auch im Jenseits weiter dienen zu können.
Bei den Wikingern war es Brauch beim Tod eines Kriegers sein Schiff am Meer anzuzünden, allerdings musste seine Frau auch rauf aufs Schiff.
Bei den Hindus wurde die Leiche eines Mannes traditionsgemäß angezündet. In dem Moment, in dem der Schädelknochen mit einem lauten Geräusch in der Hitze barst, musste sich die Frau des Verstorbenen in die Flammen werfen, um gemeinsam mit ihrem Mann zu gehen.
Bei der Tötung von Feinden spielen jedoch ganz andere Fakten eine Rolle.

Hier einige Beispiele für grausame Rituale:

gerollt, um Fleisch und Knochen mürbe zu machen. Anschließend wurde die Leiche zerstückelt und das Fleisch unter der Bevölkerung aufgeteilt.
Angeblich standen die Leute schon Schlange, um möglichst das beste Stück zu ergattern. Durch diese Zeremonie sollte die Seele des Opfers in die eigene Kultur übernommen werden. Deren Besitz versprach, ihre Kraft für sich selbst nutzen zu können.

Aber der Tod und was danach kommt bleibt doch das Große Unbekannte.

Wünschen wir uns alle, friedlich einschlafen zu können, so hat dies doch keiner von uns in der Hand. Niemand will große Schmerzen erleiden müssen. Wenn, dann lieber kurz und schmerzlos sterben. Warum geraten dann Menschen in
Panik, wenn sie wissen, dass sie jetzt erschossen werden? Ist es nur die Angst vor dem Schmerz? Ist es, dass sie nicht selbst diese Entscheidung treffen, jetzt zu sterben? Oder ist es ein in uns festgelegter Urinstinkt zur Erhaltung der
eigenen Rasse.
Eine natürliche Angst vor dem Tod, die nicht in Panik ausartet, sondern quasi mehr als Vorwarnstufe wirkt, lässt ungeahnte Kräfte entstehen, welche unter
normalen Bedingungen niemals möglich gewesen wären. So ist es möglich, dass Muttertiere (Mütter) ihre Brut (Kinder) retten können und das Weiterleben ihrer Linie ermöglichen.
Dabei spielt die Ausschüttung verschiedener Hormone eine wichtige Rolle. Dies lässt so manchen sich freiwillig in Extremsituationen stürzen. Das Spiel mit dem Tod ist dann so aufregend, dass das eigene Leben dafür aufs Spiel gesetzt wird, um an diese schmale Grenze zu kommen (z.B. Freeclimbing, ungesicherte Überquerung von Seil zwischen Wolkenkratzern, Extremsportarten).
Wenn Angst in Panik umschlägt, kann viel schief gehen.

Wer den Tod nicht fürchtet, kann sich auf die Schwächen des Gegners konzentrieren, und im rechten Moment töten.
Wer keine Angst vor dem Sterben hat, kann effizienter kämpfen, weil ihm nichts passieren kann.
Wer keine Angst vor dem Danach hat, kann furchtlos in gefährliche Situationen gehen. Extreme islamische Selbstmordterroristen haben kein Problem zu sterben, nachdem sie überzeugt davon sind, dass sie durch ihre Tat nicht nur ihr Leben dafür opfern blasphemische nicht-islamische Feinde zu töten, sondern auch noch im Himmel von einer Horde jungfräulicher Bräute erwartet werden.

Was lässt einen Menschen angstfrei und radikal kämpfen?
• Wut, Aggression, Hass
• Wunsch nach Rache, Vergeltung
• Urinstinkte (lässt Frauen, das zarte, emotionale, schwache Geschlecht zu schlachtenden Monstern werden)
• Eine Ideologie, die ich ganz und gar vertrete
• Nichts zu verlieren zu haben, außer das Leben; sprich, es geht jemandem so dreckig, dass es sowieso nur mehr besser werden kann
• Die Fähigkeit, sich selbst und sein Ego unter völliger Kontrolle zu haben “Skill is a state of mind”

Was lässt einen Menschen sich selbst verstümmeln oder töten? (Selbstverstümmelung unter psychischer Disbalance/Belastung/Krankheit ist ein anderes Thema.)

Frauen indianischer Stämme hackten sich die Finger ab als Ausdruck der Trauer und Tribut zum Tod ihres Mannes. (Wie viel mentale Kraft muss da dahinter stehen!)
Japanische Kamikaze-Piloten (Kamikaze = God-Wind oder Divine Wind) im zweiten Weltkrieg sahen es als große göttliche Ehre ihr Leben für ihre Nation zu opfern.
Der Ehrentod durch Hara-kiri, ein genau geregeltes Suizid-Zeremoniell der Samurai, ermöglichte Wiedergutmachung bei Pflichtverletzung, Strafe bei Gesetzesbruch, Wiederherstellung der Familienehre, Protest gegen Vorgesetzte, Vermeidung von Schande.

Selbstmord als ein Akt der Rache oder Bestrafung, oder aus Angst:
Massenselbstmorde geschahen in der Geschichte oft als Gegenmaßnahme, um nicht vom Feind kontrolliert, massakriert oder versklavt werden zu können (so
z.B. im Ersten Jüdisch-Römischen Krieg, als sich 960 Jüdische Rebellen lieber selbst töteten, bevor sie in die Hände der Feinde fallen konnten). Zu Ende des Zweiten Weltkrieges töteten viele Nazis zuerst ihre Familien und dann sich selbst, aus Angst in die Macht der Alliierten Truppen zu fallen. Die Zahl wird auf ca. 7000 Selbstmorde geschätzt, über eine längere Periode hinweg.

„Der erste Kampf, den es zu gewinnen gibt, ist der gegen sich selbst.“
Die Überwindung des Ich ist wohl eine der wichtigsten, aber auch am schwierigsten zu erlernenden Tugend sowohl in der Kampfkunst wie auch im alltäglichen Leben. Sie ist als geistige Übung zu verstehen und nur durch sie können erlernte Kampftechniken erst richtig und optimal zum Einsatz gebracht werden. Sie zielt darauf ab, die Unvermeidlichkeit des eigenen Todes zu erkennen und zu akzeptieren.
In einer Zeit, als es notwendig war zu kämpfen, um das eigene Leben zu erhalten, war es unvermeidlich, sich mit den Themen rund um den Tod auseinanderzusetzen. In unserer Zeit ist das nicht mehr nötig. So aber verlieren wir die rechte Verbindung zur Wirklichkeit. Der eigentliche Gegner eines jeden ist das eigene Ego. Jeder muss als erstes seine inneren Feinde besiegen: Faulheit, Trägheit, Ängste, Selbstsucht, Überheblichkeit, Gier und mehr. Seine eigenen Mängel zu überwinden ist der erste wahre Sieg. Was wir dazu brauchen sind Achtsamkeit, Mut, Entschlossenheit, Durchhaltevermögen, innere Stärke.

Egoismus muss Demut weichen.
Tief verwurzelt im Ehren-Kodex der Samurai ist die Aufforderung zur Meisterung des Ich und zum Erlangen der unerschütterlichen Ruhe. Mut und die Verachtung des Todes gilt als eine der Grundtugenden. Was nicht gleichgesetzt werden darf mit der Verachtung des Lebens. Eine lebensbejahende Haltung steht nicht im Gegensatz zur Überwindung der Angst, aus dem Leben zu gehen und der
Bereitschaft, im Kampf zu sterben. Die Todesverachtung der Samurai beruht auf der These, dass der Tod keinen Gegensatz zum Leben bildet.

„Meisterschaft ist […..] jenes Ich zu besiegen, das mit seinen unzähligen inneren
Antrieben den Geist und die Handlungen des Menschen verwirrt und der wahren Verwirklichung seines Eigenwesens im Wege steht.“

Ohne den Willen und die Entschlossenheit zu töten und ohne die Bereitschaft zu sterben kann niemand siegen. Den Tod zu erwarten, bedeutet nicht, den Lebenswillen aufzugeben und sich ihm hinzugeben. Es bedeutet zu verstehen, dass der Tod unausweichlich ist, jedoch mit Stärke und Kreativität die Zeit zu nutzen, Hindernisse zu überwinden, sein eigenes Ziel zu verfolgen. Wer den Tod verstehen kann, kann die Angst bezwingen und seine Gefühle beherrschen.
Unkontrollierte Angst lähmt und verhindert intuitives Erkennen, Entscheiden und Reagieren. Dies betrifft nicht nur Kampfsituationen sondern auch den Alltag.
Durch die Überwindung des intellektgesteuerten Ichs können Ängste überwunden und Probleme gemeistert werden. Das Vertrauen ins Leben liegt in jedem selbst, durch die Loslösung vom Ego kann es uns in jeder Situation tragen, stärken und zum Sieg führen. Der eigentliche Gegner ist nur unser
eigenes Ego. Und es braucht unsere volle Entschlossenheit, dies zu überwinden.
Wer die Unvermeidlichkeit des eigenen Todes akzeptieren kann, bekommt einen anderen Blick auf sich selbst, die anderen und das Leben selbst. Dies ist wohl eine der schwierigsten Übungen in der Kampfkunst, und aus oben genannten Gründen in der heutigen Zeit viel schwieriger zu bewältigen als früher, wo das Leben viel näher zum Tode stand als heute, bzw. mag es für uns diesen Anschein
haben.
Ich will mir die Behauptung anmaßen, dass diese Welt eine viel bessere sein könnte, würden die Menschen sich mehr mit ihren inneren und äußeren Grenzen konfrontieren, würden versuchen, sich selbst zu besiegen, anstatt andere zu
bekämpfen, würden sich in Geduld, Bescheidenheit und Demut üben. Alle Überheblichkeit, aller Größenwahnsinn, alle Habgier und Selbstsucht, aller Missbrauch von Macht könnte zu einem Ende kommen.

Wer weiß, dass er töten kann, kann auch nicht töten.

 

Für viele Indianerstämme in der zentralen und nördlichen Prärie Amerikas war ‚counting coup’ (= das Zählen von Treffern) im Kampf ein Weg, ohne sinnloses Blutvergießen Mut und Tapferkeit zu demonstrieren und zu Ehre zu gelangen.
Jeder dem Gegner versetzte Schlag zählte als Treffer, was aber am meisten Prestige erbrachte war, den Feind mit der Hand, dem Bogen oder dem ‚coup stick’ nur zu berühren und sodann selber unberührt und unversehrt zu entkommen.
Der so genannte ‚coup stick’ war einem Stock mit gebogenem Ende, meist mit Fell oder Leder überzogen und besonders geschmückt. Für jeden erfolgreichen Treffer durfte eine Kerbe in dessen Holz geschnitzt werden. Als ‚coup’ zählte auch, wichtige Dinge oder ein Pferd direkt aus dem feindlichen Camp zu stehlen.
Das Risiko von Verletzung oder Tod musste im Spiel sein, damit ein ‚coup’ gerechtfertigt war.
Bei einem ‚coup’ unversehrt zu entkommen brachte weitaus höhere Ehre ein, als dabei berührt oder verletzt zu werden. Bei bestimmten Stämmen durfte ein Kämpfer als Auszeichnung für seinen erfolgreichen ‚coup’ die Feder eines Adlers im Haar oder Kopfschmuck tragen bzw. an seinen coup stick binden. War er dabei verwundet worden, so musste er die Feder als Zeichen dafür in rote Farbe tauchen.
Nach einem Kampf war es Brauch, dass die Leute des Stammes sich versammelten, um gemeinsam ihre Bravourstücke zu rekapitulieren und die Geschichten zum Besten zu geben.

Diese Indianerstämme hatten so eine gewaltfreie Kampfpraktik entwickelt, sich zu messen, Ehre und Anerkennung zu gewinnen und ihre Tapferkeit unter Beweis
zu stellen, ohne jedoch das Risiko außer Acht zu lassen, verletzt oder gar getötet zu werden, sollte der Fall eintreten, dass der andere Krieger mit Gewalt antwortete.
Ein Krieger konnte so seine Überlegenheit nicht nur gegenüber den feindlichen Kämpfern, sondern auch innerhalb des eigenen Stammes demonstrieren. Zu töten war Teil eines Krieges, aber seinen Mut im Kampf unter Beweis zu stellen
unter der Gefahr des Todes war noch wichtiger für den individuellen Status.
Gleichzeitig bedeutete es für den Gegner eine extreme Demütigung. Es galt als schmachvolle Niederlage, nicht einmal die Munition wert zu sein, die der Gegner benötigen würde, um zu töten. Angeblich zogen die tapfersten Krieger
unbewaffnet in den Kampf – nicht mit dem Ziel zu töten, sondern in der bloßen Absicht den Feind zu beschämen, indem sie ihn berührten.

„Wenn du eine echte Waffe in der Hand hältst, wirst du ihren Charakter deutlich spüren. Sie verlangt danach, benutzt zu werden. Ihr eigener Zweck ist Tod, und ihre Stärke rührt nicht einfach von dem Material her, aus dem sie gemacht
wurde, sondern auch von der Absicht der Hersteller.“
Eine Waffe soll nur gezogen werden in der Absicht zu töten.
Wer weiß, dass er nicht töten will, verwendet jede andere erdenkliche Waffe, um sich zu wehren.

Verschiedene Gesellschaften, Kulturen, Länder, Individuen verwenden den Tod als Bestrafung.
Die Kampfkunst – ursprünglich um zu töten – jetzt nur als Schutz, als Verteidigung, nur im äußersten Notfall finale Techniken gebrauchend. Was ist wichtiger, mein Leben oder das des anderen? Es ist die allerletzte Alternative, um das eigene Leben zu retten.
Im Laufe der Jahrhunderte veränderten sich durch den immer stärker werdende Einfluss des Zen auch die Kampfmethoden der Samurai und erhielten einen philosophischen Sinn. Aus den tödlichen Kriegskünsten entwickelte sich allmählich der Weg des Kriegers als lebenserhaltende Kunst.

Vom Lebenlassen.

Bei einem bestimmten afrikanischen Volksstamm der Massai
ist folgendes Zeremoniell üblich: Wenn jemand eine schlechte Tat begangen hat, wird er in die Mitte des Dorfplatzes gestellt, und alle, die teilhaben wollen, versammeln sich im Kreis um ihn. Jeder der im Kreis stehenden hat nun die Möglichkeit, den Angeklagten an all das zu erinnern, was er in seinem Leben an Gutem getan hat. Dies soll den Menschen dazu bringen, selber Recht von Unrecht zu trennen und sich aus eigenem Antrieb zu ändern.

Verschiedene Gründe sind möglich, sich vom Töten zu distanzieren:
• Um den anderen zu bestrafen: Wer tot ist, fühlt nichts mehr; wer weiterlebt, kann durch schlechte, miserable, menschenunwürdige Lebensbedingungen bestraft/gequält werden
• Sichtbar Kontrolle und Macht auszuüben über andere
• Fürs Ego, sich als gnädig/wohltätig darzustellen und zu fühlen
• Religiöse Gründe: z.B. im Christentum Distanzierung von den Gesetzen des alten Testaments hin zu denen des Neuen Testaments
• Höhere Ehre und Auszeichnung (Indianer counting coups)

Ich erinnere mich an ein Zitat, weiß leider nicht mehr von wem, welches sinngemäß besagt: “Den Wert einer Gesellschaft kann man daran messen, wie sie ihre Gefangenen behandelt.“
Ich erinnere mich: Zwei Soldaten, in einem Sumpf, es ist Nacht. Keiner weiß, ob der andere ihn umbringen will. Einer tötet schließlich den anderen, aus angst, selbst derjenige zu sein, der dran glauben muss. Er untersucht den toten Körper,
findet eine Geldtasche, darin ein Foto von einer Frau mit zwei Kindern. Er schämt sich, er fühlt die Schuld auf sich lasten. Er hat über das Leben des anderen entschieden. Aber hätte er nicht, würde er selbst dann noch leben?
Ich erinnere mich an eine Geschichte, von Wolfgang Borchert vielleicht: Wieder zwei Soldaten, beim Patrouillieren auf irgendeiner Grenzlinie. Sie sehen sich von weitem, erkennen dass der jeweils andere vom feindlichen Lager ist. Sie gehen
weiter, treffen sich. Jeder die Hand am Abzug. Vor Angst fast in die Hose geschissen. Sie tauschen Worte in Sprachen, die sie nicht verstehen. Einer gibt dem anderen eine Zigarette. Der andere gibt ihm Feuer. Sie rauchen. Sie gehen
auseinander, wieder in Angst. Keiner weiß, ob der andere ihn nicht rücklings erschießen wird. Nichts passiert.

Abstrakt:

Im folgenden Aufsatz wird auf die grundlegenden Aspkete einer daoistischen Geisteshaltung eingegangen. Es wird die unterschiedliche systematische Herangehensweise an diverse Fragestellungen in der westlichen und östlichen Hemnisphäre erörtert. Dieser Unterschied mag erklären, warum bei den im Westen verbreiteten Religionen eher der Glaube und bei den östlichen Philosophien eher die Handlung im Vordergrund steht. Es wird gezeigt, dass gerade in unserer westlichen Kultur Geisteshaltungen wie das Nicht-Anhaften und die Kultivierung der Achtsamkeit verloren gegangen sind und welche Kraft in diesen auf den ersten Blick nutzlosen und einfachen Prinzipien stecken. Weiters zeigt dieser Artikel, dass es wenig bis keine

Rolle spielt, mit welchen Tätigkeiten wir versuchen unseren Geist zu entwickeln. Es wird klar, dass es keine geheimen Übungen gibt, die uns schnell zum Erfolg führen und uns Anderen überlegen machen. Der Leser wird erkennen, dass das größte

Geheimnis in der Einfachheit einer universellen Wahrheit bzw. wenig universell gültigen Grundsätzen liegt. Letztendlich sollte auch der philosophisch nicht interessierte Leser nach ernsthaftem Durcharbeiten dieses Artikels in der Lage zu sein, effizienter Fliegen zu fangen.

 

Einleitung

Die gewählte Überschrift mag den Leser

irritieren und im ersten Ansatz merkwürdig

anmuten. Wer das Dao kennt, sofern man es

kennen kann, oder wer sich auch nur

ansatzweise damit beschäftigt oder davon

gehört hat, dem drängt sich die Frage auf, was

das Dao und seine philosophische Lehre mit

der Kunst des Kämpfens zu tun haben wollen.

Und auch, wenn sich dies dem ein oder

anderen asiaphilen Leser mit Kampfkunst-

wurzeln eröffnete, so bleibt immer noch die

Frage nach der Motivation und dem Connex

zum Fangen der Calliphoridae, oder auch

gemeinhin Schmeißfliege genannt, offen und

unbeantwortet. In diesem Assay soll dem

Leser dieser Zusammenhang näher gebracht,

wenn auch aufgrund der Natur des Dao

niemals gänzlich erklärt werden. Sowie es

nicht gelingen kann, das Unaussprechliche zu

diskutieren, so ist der Anspruch dieses

Aufsatzes lediglich, eine vage Idee der

Wirkungsmechanismen des Dao in den im

Titel erwähnten Bereichen zu geben und mit

viel Glück einen Zusammenhang über deren

unzertrennliche Verbindung herzustellen.

 

Das Wesen des Dao

Der Daoismus oder auch Taoismus ist eine

chinesische Philospophielehre, die mit “der

Lehre des Weges” übersetzt werden kann. Der

Weg wird dabei durch das Handeln des

Individuums im JETZT bestimmt und ist somit

maßgebend für den Verlauf der Dinge. Der

Daoismus kann als Chinas eigene und

authentische Religion angesehen werden,

dessen historisch gesicherte Ursprünge im

4.Jahrhundert vor Christus, mit dem Werk des

Tao-Te-King des LaoTse dokumentiert sind.

In China beeinflusste der Daoismus die Kultur in

den Bereichen der Politik, Wirtschaft,

Philosophie, Literatur, Kunst, Musik,

Ernährungskunde, Medizin, Chemie,

Kampfkunst und Geographie [1] [4]. Die Basis

für diese Philosophie bildet das Dao, welches

in vielen Schriften als eine Art höherer Energie

beschrieben wird. Der Begriff Energie ist

hierbei nicht zu verwechseln mit dem in der

westlichen Wissenschaft oder Technik

gebrauchten Sinne; wie etwa dem Strom in der

Elektrizitätslehre oder der Wärme in der

Thermodynamik. Auch wenn diese technisch-

wissenschaftlichen Elemente Teile des Tao

beschreiben mögen, oder sogar Teile davon

sind, so ist es doch kein umfassendes Bild

welches sich daraus ableitet. Das Dao wird

eher als eine intelligente, alles umfassende,

nichts ausschließende, alles durchströmende

und alles verbindende Energie gesehen, die

jedes belebte und unbelebte Element dieses

und aller anderen Welten miteinander

verbindet. Wird vom Dao gesprochen, so wird

es als nicht wertend und nicht ausgrenzend

beschrieben, was eine Differenzierung zur

Götterwelt darstellt, die unabhängig von der

Glaubensrichtung in mehr oder weniger allen

Weltreligionen als höhere und durchaus

wertende Instanz verstanden wird. Denken wir

nur an Himmel und Hölle oder dem

Ansammeln von den Gläubigen (=die Guten)

und den Ungläubigen (= die Bösen), von

gutem und schlechtem Karma, etc. .

Im ausgehenden 17.Jahrhundert wurde in

verschiedensten wissenschaftlichen Diskursen

in Europa der Begriff des Äthers eingeführt, um

unterschiedliche physikalische Fragestellungen

in Bereichen der Optik, Elektrodynamik,

Gravitation, etc. zu beschreiben.

 

Die Wirkung der dort auftretenen Phänomene

und deren Wechselwirkung konnte man sich

bis dato nicht erklären.

die durch den Äther (Molekularwirbel) verbunden sind.

Dies ist insofern erstaunlich, als dass diese

wissenschaftliche Vorstellung des damals

beschriebenen Äthers von der philosophischen

Auffassung des östlichen Dao nicht so weit

entfernt war. Der Ätherbegriff war aber zu eng

definiert und nur auf die Naturwissenschaft

bezogen, in welcher er über die nächsten

Jahrhunderte von einigen Wissenschaftlern

durch theoretische Herleitungen widerlegt

wurde und so aus den Lehrbüchern

verschwand. Dennoch ist der Begriff nicht

gänzlich ausgestorben und wurde z.B. 2006 in

der Nobelpreisrede von George F. Smoot über

die kosmische Mikrowellenstrahlung als

mögliches Bezugssystem erwähnt [2].

Viele ursprünglich östliche Schriften befassen

sich mit der Beschreibung, dem Ursprung und

dem Wirken des Dao. Gerade bei Versuchen

das Dao zu beschreiben, scheitern viele sehr

bemühte Kenner der Materie und lassen den

Leser mit einem faden Geschmack der

Orientierungslosigkeit zurück.

Um nicht denselben Fehler zu begehen –

nämlich über etwas zu schreiben, das nicht

beschrieben werden kann – soll an dieser

Stelle der chinesische Weise LaoTse selbst

zitiert werden, der das Wesen des Dao in

einem seiner Aphorismen wie folgt beschreibt:

„Schau hin, du wirst es nicht sehen –

man nennt es: unsichtbar.

Horche, du wirst es nicht hören –

man nennt es: unhörbar.

Greif danach, du wirst es nicht fassen –

man nennt es: unfassbar.

 

Es strahlt nicht von oben,

und doch ist es von unten her nicht dunkel.

Wie ein unendlicher Faden,

und doch nicht zu beschreiben.

Es kehrt zurück ins Nichts.

Man nennt es: die Gestalt des Gestaltlosen,

das Bild des Wesenlosen;

unvorstellbar und jenseits aller Phantasie.

Du stehst davor, doch du siehst sein Gesicht

nicht, du folgst ihm, doch du siehst seinen

Rücken nicht [3].“

 

Mit dem vollen Bewußtsein, dass auch in

diesem Artikel nicht viel mehr zur literarischen

Erfassung des Dao beigetragen werden kann,

als in der im deutschen Raum schon relativ

mannigfaltigen Übersetzungen östlicher

Schriften unterschiedlicher Qualität, wird auf

ausschweifende theoretische Abhandlung

dieses Themas verzichtet. Vielmehr sollen im

Folgenden die praktischen Erfahrungen und

daraus hergeleiteten Zusammenhänge

diskutiert werden, die jeder, der sich ernsthaft

mit den Kampfkünsten und deren

philosophischen Aspekte beschäftigt, in der

Übung selbst feststellen und somit diese

Wahrheit für sich ergründen kann. Ähnlich wie

Antiope, die Königstochter aus der alten

griechischen Mythologie, die, aus einer

perfekten Welt stammend, und abgeschirmt

von allem Schweren, das Orakel fragte, was

Leid sei? Das Orakel antwortete darauf: “Leid

lässt sich nicht beschreiben”. Antiope fragte,

wie sie denn dann Leid erkennen könne?

“Indem du Leid erfährst” antwortete das Orakel

[6].

So verhält es sich auch mit dem Dao. Auch

wenn es nicht beschrieben werden kann, so

kann seine Wirkung von jedem individuell

erlebt werden. Im Unterschied zu westlichen

Religionen, die versuchen alles mögliche zu

erklären, dabei scheitern und sich dann darauf

berufen, man müsse eben glauben, begnügen

sich speziell die chinesische Philosophien des

Daoismus aber auch des Konfuzionismus

damit, nach gewissen moralischen

Grundsätzen zu leben und Achtsamkeit, einen

Wachen Geist und Liebe zu kultivieren. Sie

vertrauen darauf, dass diese Lebensweise

positive Auswirkungen auf ihr Leben und ihr

Umfeld hat. Welche Mechanismen im

Hintergrund wirken kümmert den

Praktizierenden dabei wenig.

Prinzipiell gibt es zwei grundsätzlich

unterschiedliche Möglichkeiten, wie es gelingt,

sich einer tieferliegenden Wahrheit zu nähern.

Die Erste ist es, von einer umfassenden

theoretische Betrachtung des Themas

auszugehen, welche auf der Erhebung aller

vorhandenen Daten beruht und im Folgenden

durch Kombinationen und Ableitungen dieser,

zu einer Hypothese verarbeitet werden kann.

So wird versucht, am Reißbrett ein Bild der

Realität zu zeichnen. Ist die Hypothese

schlüssig und haltbar, so wird versucht diese

im Experiment zu beweisen. Diese Methodik

findet hauptsächlich in den Natur- und

Wirtschaftswissenschaft sowie generell im

Denken der westlichen Welt ihre Anwendung.

Es ist kein wissenschaftlicher Assay denkbar,

in dem eine entsprechende Theorie nicht

umfassend und schlüssig dargestellt werden

kann; unabhängig davon, was das Ergebnis

der zugrundegelegten Experimente sein mag.

Eine andere Methode ist es, sich über die in

einer gewissen Situation oder durch gewisse

Praktiken gewonnene Erfahrungen einem

Thema zu nähern und über die Reflexion

dieser Erfahrungen, wenn nötig, eine

theoretische Ableitung zu erstellen. Bei diesem

Ansatz steht das persönliche Bewusstsein und

die gewonnene Einsicht im Vordergrund. Eine

theoretische Schlussfolgerung basierend auf

diesen Einsichten kann, muss aber nicht das

Resultat einer solchen Herangehensweise

sein. Dient diese meist ohnehin nur dazu, die

gewonnene Erkenntnis mit anderen zu Teilen

bzw. Ihnen die Richtung des Weges

aufzuzeigen und Wegweiser auf diesem

aufzustellen. Dabei muss dem Schüler bzw.

Unterwiesenem immer bewusst sein, dass im

Unterricht immer nur Wissen vermittelt wird;

Weisheit kann nur durch persönlich Erfahrung

erlangt werden. Wie auch schon Siddhartha

Gautama in der Erzählung von Herman Hesse

sagte:

“Wissen kann man mitteilen, Weisheit aber

nicht” [5]

Wenn in diesem Aufsatz vom Dao, dessen

Wirkung und Zusammenhängen mit weltlichen

Dingen wie z.B. der Kampfkunst oder

trivialerem, wie dem Fliegen fangen die Rede

ist, dann basieren die getätigten Aussagen und

hergeleiteten Theorien vorwiegend auf einem

erfahrungsbaiserten Ansatz, also dem zweiten

der oben beschriebene Wege.

 

Die Rolle des Loslassens

Wer kennt sie nicht, die kleineren und

größeren Herausforderungen des Lebens

sowie die tagtäglichen Alltagssituationen, in

denen wir versuchen Dinge zu erreichen, oder

herbeizuführen, bei denen wir glauben selbst

den größten Beitrag zum Erfolg beitragen zu

können. Unsere westliche Gesellschaft ist

gepägt vom Individualismus der immer mehr in

einen ungesunden Narzissmus umschlägt. Auf

dessen Basis denken viele von uns, dass sich

das Leben und die Umwelt um sie selbst als

Zentrum dieses Mikrokosmus dreht.

Eine grundlegende Fehleinschätzung die auf

diesem Weltbild basiert ist, alles selbst in der

Hand zu haben. Grundsätzlich ist das nicht

falsch, denn jeder Mensch kann an seinem

Geist und dessen Funktionen arbeiten und sie

zum Guten entwickeln. Die Art jedoch, wie wir

heute gemeinhin versuchen unsere

vermeintlichen Ziele zu erreichen ist definitiv

mangelhaft. Werden Ziele mit Hartnäckigkeit,

Verbissenheit, falschem Ehrgeiz, Profilierungs-

sucht, etc. verfolgt, so rückt das Ziel oft in noch

weitere Ferne. Der Daoismus, wie auch andere

östliche Philosophien lehren uns, loszulassen,

nicht anzuhaften, die Dinge mit Gleichmut und

Liebe zu betrachten und vor allem die

gegenwärtige Situation anzunehmen. Wenn es

gelingt, den Blick auf das eigene Leben und

sein Umfeld mehr mit diesen Attributen zu

versehen, dann werden uns viele unserer Ziele

wie von alleine und ohne Zwang auf halbem

Weg entgegenkommen und das bei weit

weniger Kraftanstrengung.

Auch die westliche Welt versteht und

erschließt dieses grundlegend Daoistische

Prinzip immer mehr. So erschienen in den

letzten Monaten und Jahren immer häufiger

Bücher zu diesem Thema, in denen

Psychologen, Mediziner, aber auch

Wirtschaftwissenschafter, Manager und

Börsianer aus dem hektischen Treiben ihres

Arbeitsalltages bzw. ihrer Karriere aussteigen

und die gewonnenen Erkenntnisse in Büchern,

Vorträgen oder Assays formulieren und

weitergeben. Ein gutes Beispiel hierfür ist

Rene Egli, ein schweizer Ökonom, der lange

Jahre in der Wirtschaft arbeitete, bis er aus

diesem kapitalistischen Trott ausstieg und sein

erstes Buch über das Loslassen und das

Entwickeln einer gesunden Geisteshaltung

schrieb. Seither erschienen weitere Bücher

und Seminare zu Themen wie Loslassen,

Achtsamkeit, etc. von ihm (z.B. “Das LOL²A

Prinzip, ISBN 978-3-9520606-0-5”). Er schreibt

dabei, bewusst oder nicht, über zentrale

Aspekte der Daoistischen Philosophie und der

Erfolg seiner Arbeit zeigt, wie sehr die

Menschen in unserer westlichen Kultur diese

Weisheit benötigen.

 

Die Rolle der Achtsamkeit

Wenn wir also etwas über das Dao und sein

Wirken erfahren wollen, so ist es nötig sich auf

die Erfahrungsebene zu begeben. Dort

angekommen wird schnell klar, dass es nicht

genügt eine bestimmte Tätigkeit auszuüben.

Es ist auch nicht entscheidend, welche

erkenntnisbringenden Übungen wir ausführen,

nicht ob wir ausgefeilte Yoga Techniken

nachahmen, nicht ob wir Verse rezitieren, oder

den Lotus Sitz beim Meditieren beherrschen.

Bei jeder Tätigkeit spielt vor allem die

Achtsamkeit, mit der wir sie ausführen, die

entscheidende Rolle.

Wiederum gilt es, die hier gemeinte

Achtsamkeit von anderen Begriffen

abzugrenzen. Mit Achtsamkeit ist nicht

Konzentration oder Denken gemeint. Im

Gegenteil, dies wäre unter Umständen sogar

hinderlich um das Dao und sein Wirken zu

erfahren.

“Der Anfang des Denkens ist der Tod der

Sinne”, schrieb Dan Millman in seinem Roman

“Der Pfad des friedvollen Kriegers” [7].

Beobachten wir Kinder, so haben sie diese

Achtsamkeit und auch das zuvor beschriebene

Loslassen (nicht Anhaften) noch innewohnend;

zumindest so lange, bis wir sie durch unserer

Erziehung konditioniert haben. Im Alltag der

modernen westlichen Welt ist diese

Achtsamkeit bei den meisten Menschen

verloren gegangen und kommt nur mit viel

Glück in wenigen wachen Momenten zum

Vorschein. Kinder erfassen ihre Umgebung

ohne Vorurteile, gänzlich ungeprägt. Dies

macht sie so besonders, da sie somit eine

direkte und unmittelbare Wahrnehmung

besitzen. Mit zunehmendem Alter setzt die

Erziehung durch Elternhaus, Schule,

Umgebung ein, was zu einer Konditionierung

der ursprünglichen Instinkte und angeborenen,

vorurteilsfreien Wahrnehmung führt. Die

Umgebung wird nicht mehr unmittelbar

wahrgenommen, sondern im Laufe der Zeit nur

mehr der Gedanke davon. Der aufmerksame,

wache und bewusste Geist wird durch Denken

ersetzt. Die Achtsamkeit weicht der

Aufmerksamkeit. Die Menschen geben Dingen,

Situationen oder Personen Namen und

glauben dann, sie zu kennen. Da dieses

Schubladisieren aber nur das gedankliche

Konstrukt des unmittelbaren Erlebnisses ist,

entfernen wir uns mit dem gedanklichen

Erfassen von Dingen und Situationen immer

mehr von der Wirklichkeit. In der biblischen

Geschichte könnte man diese Transformation,

die jeder Mensch im Laufe seines

Erwachsenwerdens bzw. seiner Erziehung durchmacht,

als Rauswurf aus dem Paradies bezeichnen.

Auch in der Bibel sind einige Aussprüche und

Verse zitiert, in denen das kindliche Wesen

gepriesen wird, so Jesus von Nazareth bei

einer Begegnung mit seinen Jüngern:

“Wer das Reich Gottes nicht so annimmt wie

ein Kind, der wird nicht hineinkommen.”[8]

Oder an einer anderen Stelle, in der ihn die

Jünger fragten:

“Wer ist der Größte im Himmelreich?” Da rief

er ein Kind herbei, stellte es in die Mitte und

sagte: ”Wahrlich ich sage euch: Wenn ihr nicht

umkehrt und werdet wie die Kinder, dann könnt

ihr nicht in das Himmelreich kommen. Wer so

klein sein kann wie dieses Kind – der ist im

Himmelreich der Größte.”[8]

Das Problem dabei ist, dass es durch das

Denken nur schwer oder vielleicht auch

unmöglich ist im JETZT zu sein. Dinge werden

nur noch durch einen Schleier der

Assoziationen wahrgenommen, welcher

Aktuelles auf Basis von Erlebtem,

Vergangenem interpretiert. Dabei wird der

aktuelle Moment verpasst. Auch wenn Pläne

für die Zukunft geschmiedet werden, so

basieren die Gedanken hierfür auf den

Erfahrungen aus der Vergangenheit; nach dem

Motto: “Mein ehemaliger Partner hat mich

betrogen, deshalb vertraue ich auch meinem

derzeitigen und dem eventuell noch

kommenden Partner nicht mehr”. Da aber die

Vergangenheit, außer über das Denken,

keinen Einfluss auf die Gegenwart hat, ist dies

ein in sich zusammenbrechender Kreislauf

einer Scheinwelt der den Menschen an der

wahren Teilnahme am Leben hindert. Erst

wenn klar wird, in wie vielen Bereichen diese

Konditionierung tagtäglich als Routine im

Hintergrund unseres Handelns abläuft und

welch verheerende Wirkung es auf unsere

Gegenwart hat, kann damit angefangen

werden diese Prägung langsam abzubauen

und zur unmittelbaren Wahrnehmung der

Realität durch das Verweilen im JETZT

durchzubrechen.

Nicht umsonst ist das Ziel der buddhistischen

Tradition, durch Bodhi (dem “Erwachen”) oder

auch besser bekannt durch Erleuchtung eine

fundamentale und befreiende Einsicht in die

Grundtatsachen allen Lebens zu erhalten. Dies

soll im Buddhismus vor allem durch Meditation

erreicht werden. Dabei wird versucht, den

Affengeist (also das unkontrollierte Denken)

einzubremsen bzw. überhaupt auszuschalten

und im Hier und Jetzt zu verweilen, um die

Welt so wahrzunehmen wie sie tatsächlich ist.

Hermann Hesse beschreibt in seiner

wundervollen Erzählung “Siddhartha”, einen

Auszug aus dem Lebensweg des Buddha,

Siddhartah Gautama. An einer Stelle sagt

Siddhartha:

“Zu viel Wissen hatte ihn gehindert, zu viel

heilige Verse. Zu viel Opferregeln, zu viel

Kasteiung, zu viel Tun und Streben!” [5]

Er spielt damit auf die Krampfhaften

Bemühunge eines Praktizierenden an, dem es

nicht und nicht gelingen will, Erleuchtung zu

Erlangen. Denken und Ehrgeiz (also nicht-

loslassen) hindern ihn daran.

Auch im Daoismus wird das unbewusste

Denken und die Konditionierung als Problem

für die Entfaltung des Dao gesehen. Nur wenn

es gelingt im Hier und Jetzt zu sein, kann das

Dao seine Wirkung entfalten und das Leben

lenken. LaoTse meinte hierzu:

“Der Weg ist ewig namenlos.

Obwohl sein Wesen einfach wie ein

unbehauener Holzklotz ist, wagt niemand in

der Welt über ihn zu herrschen.

Wenn es Königen und Fürsten dieser Welt

gelingt, die ursprüngliche Einfachheit des

unbehauenen Holzklotzes zu bewahren,

werden die zehntausend Dinge von selbst

gehorchen;

Himmel und Erde werden sich vereinigen, ein

ganz weicher Regen wird niedergehen, und die

Menschen brauchen keine Anweisungen mehr:

Alles ist von sich aus in Ordnung.

Erst wenn er behauen wird, tauchen die

Namen auf;

Sobald es Namen gibt, sollte man erkennen,

dass es an der Zeit ist innezuhalten.

Wer weiß, wann er innehalten muss, kann die

Gefahr vermeiden“” [3]

Die grundlegenden Konzepte des Daoismus

basieren darauf, echt und dauernd im Geiste in

der Gegenwart zu verweilen, die

Geschehnisse aufmerksam zu beobachten und

wahrzunehmen, ohne sie zu analysieren.

Dadurch wird die Kunst des WuWei kultiviert;

die Kunst des Handelns durch Nicht-Handeln.

WuWei bedeutet in der Praxis, den

Geschehnissen seinen Lauf zu lassen, ohne

dabei Widerstand zu leisten; sie nur ruhig und

mit Achtsamkeit zu betrachten. Dazu ist es

nötig, die inneren Bindungen aufzugeben; alle

Abhängigkeiten von innerer oder äußerer

Authorität, von Denkschablonen oder

religiösen Bindungen oder Ähnlichem

aufzugeben. Dies bedeutet nicht auszusteigen

und alles hinzuwerfen. Es geht allein darum,

seinen Geist von den vielen Bindungen zu

befreien. Nicht umsonst sagte der Zen Meister

zu seinem Schüler: “Wenn du Buddha triffst,

töte ihn“”. Dies ist die Aufforderung, sich auch

von den eigenen (spirituellen) Lehrern

loszusagen, von jeglicher Art von Autorität, da

nur so die eigene Erkenntnis reifen kann.

 

Die Rolle der Kampfkunst

Zuerst mag es zu unterscheiden gelten ob

von Kampfkunst oder Kampfsport die Rede ist.

Obwohl es, wie schnell klar werden wird

vollkommen egal ist, soll fortan der Begriff

“Kampfkunst” als umfassenderer und

übergeordneter Begriff verwendet werden. Da

die Energie des Dao per Definition überall und

in Allem wirkt, könnte auch ein

Zusammenhang mit dem Kampfsport

hergestellt werden. Dies wäre aber vermutlich

noch abenteuerlicher als der Versuch, die

Verbindung zur Kampfkunst mit ihren vielen

Facetten herzustellen.

Auch wenn das geklärt scheint, stehen wir

immer noch vor der Frage, um welche

Kampfkunst es letztendlich bei diesem,

deskriptiven Spagat geht. So scheint es im

ersten Ansatz doch einen signifikanten

Unterschied zu machen, ob von der alten

Europäischen Kunst des Rapier- oder

Degenfechtens, von der durch seine Akrobatik

einem sehr breiten Publikum bekannten Kunst

des Shaolin KungFu, oder den vielleicht

etwas offensichtlicher mit diesem Thema

verknüpfbareren inneren Kampfkünsten des

chinesichen Taijichuan oder Qigong die

Rede ist. In Wirklichkeit spielt alleine die im

vorigen Kapital angeschnittene Eigenschaft

der Achtsamkeit und der richtigen

Geisteshaltung eine Rolle. Bei sogenannten

inneren Stilen der Kampfkunst ist es insofern

leichter nachvollziehbar, als dass die

Kultivierung der Achtsamkeit integraler

Bestandteil des Trainings sein sollte.

Ungeachtet dessen wird auch ein

Degenfechter, ein Tontaubenschütze oder ein

Turniertänzer der lediglich in Taktiken und

Abläufen denkt, immer hinter seinem

Kontrahenten hinterherhinken, der gelernt hat

den Moment und die Umgebung unmittelbar

wahrzunehmen und auf die Krücke der

Gedanken zu verzichten.

Der alte Weise LaoTse hatte zum Kampf und

im Speziellen zu Waffen eine sehr abwertende,

wenn auch nicht naïve Einstellung, welche er

äußerte indem er sagte:

“Waffen sind Instrumente des Unheils und

werden von allen Geschöpfen gehasst. Wer

dem Weg folgt, besteht deshalb nicht auf ihren

Gebrauch. Waffen sind Instrumente des

Unheils und nicht die Instrumente des Edlen.

Ist man gezwungen, sie zu gebrauchen, so ist

es am besten, wenn man keinen Gefallen

daran findet.

Ein Sieg ist kein Grund für laute Freude;

Wer sich dennoch über einen Sieg freut, der

hat auch Freude am Töten von Menschen.

Wer Freude hat am Töten von Menschen, der

kann sein Ziel auf der Welt nicht erreichen.” [3]

LaoTse war also kein Freund von Gewalt, ihm

war aber durchaus bewusst, dass es

Situationen gab, da es nötig war sich zu

verteidigen und dies dann auch getan werden

sollte. Schließlich stellt auch eine Verletzung

oder gar der Tod des Praktizierenden ein

Hindernis dar den Weg weiter zu gehen. Was

LaoTse sagt ist, dass es manchmal nötig sein

kann sich zu wehren und dabei kann es auch

dazu kommen, dass jemand verletzt, werden

muss (körperlich wie auch geistig), es soll aber

weder am Kampf noch am Sieg ein Gefallen

gefunden werden.

Es wird also klar, dass das hier gewählte

Beispiel der Kampfkunst nur ein

Transportmittel auf dem Weg des Dao ist;

wenn der Weg des Dao mit einer Autobahn

verglichen würde, so wäre die Kampfkunst

(oder eine andere Tätigkeit bei der die

Kultivierung des Geistes im Vordergrund steht)

das Automobil, mit dem man sich auf dieser

Straße fortbewegt. Nicht mehr und nicht

weniger. Das bedeutet, ein Praktizierender des

Dao muss nicht notwendigerweise eine

Ausbildung in den Kampfkünsten durchlaufen;

das Umgekehrte scheint jedoch sehr wohl der

Fall.

Möchte ein Kampfkünstler seine Kunst

vollständig und umfassend erlernen und sich in

dieser auch ohne die Schritt-für-Schritt-

Anleitung seines Lehrers weiterendwickeln, so

führt am Dao bzw. der achtsamen Ausübung

seiner Kunst kein Weg vorbei. Zuerst wird der

Schüler gewisse Anleitungen seines Lehrers

brauchen um die für seine Übungen benötigten

Fertigkeiten, wie z.B. gewisse Bewegungs-

abfolgen, oder auch Visualisierungen,

kultivieren zu können. Sind die Abläufe und

Bewegungsmuster erst einmal erlernt (hier

also wirklich ein denkendes Erfassen), so wird

damit begonnen diese Abfolgen zu üben. Am

Anfang des Übens steht das Wiederholen und

das Verfeinern der physischen oder

psychischen Abläufe. Je mehr der

Praktizierende übt, desto leichter wird es ihm

fallen sich nicht mehr auf die von seinem

Lehrer vorgegebenen Abläufe zu

konzentrieren, sondern eine Art Innenschau zu

halten die letztendlich nichts anderes ist, als

ein achtsames Verweilen oder Ausführen der

Übung (also ein SEIN). Wenn dieser Schritt

vollbracht ist, dann wird der Schüler zum

Meister und die Tätigkeit zum Gebet.

Von diesem fernen Ziel sollte sich niemand

einschüchtern lassen. Vermutlich gibt es nur

wenige Menschen, die gelernt haben ihren

Geist so zu kultivieren, dass sie mit voller

Achtsamkeit und Liebe im Augenblick

verweilen und ohne zu werten, alles annehmen

und wahrnehmen; innerhalb und außerhalb

ihres Körpers. Menschen die eine solche

Entwicklungsstufe erreichten nannten wir je

nach Kultur Jesus, Buddha oder Mohammed.

Der Alltag sieht meist anders aus und wir

müssen uns jedes bisschen Freiraum, in dem

wir die Zeit und Energie haben uns mit uns

selbst zu beschäftigen, hart erkämpfen. Diese

Zeit und Energie müssen wir uns von den

restlichen Verpflichtungen, wie Partnerschaft,

Arbeit, Familie, etc., absparen. Doch auch in

dieser Situation, in der viele verschiedene

Dinge unter einen Hut zu bringen sind, steht

die Kultivierung der Achtsamkeit, des

Gleichmutes und der Absichtslosigkeit für

jeden offen. Sei es beim Training oder im

Straßenverkehr, negative Emotionen und

unnötig und unbewusstes Denken begleiten

uns fast überall und deshalb ist auch zu jedem

Zeitpunkt der beste Augenblick mit dem

Training zu beginnen. Wie auch der Dalai

Lama sagt: “Das Beste was einem

Praktizierendem passieren kann ist, auf einen

Feind zu treffen”. Unangenehme Situationen

(oder eben ein uns feindlich eingestellte

Person) lehren uns in Geduld, Demut, Mitgefühl

und der Kunst zu Verzeihen. Sie sind die

besten Lehrmeister. Von ihnen können wir,

eine rechten Geisteshaltung vorausgesetzt,

viel mehr lernen als vom liebevollsten Lehrer.

 

Die Rolle des Fliegenfangens

Nun aber die Überleitung zu einem

greifbarerem und für jeden nachvollziehbarem

Beispiel; dem Fliegenfangen.

So, wie es dem Kampfkünstler bei der

Anwendung seiner Techniken in einer

Kampfsituation geht, so geht es jedem von

uns, wenn wir versuchen eine Fliege zu

fangen. Am Anfang der Handlung (also dem

möglichst raschen Ausstrecken des Armes um

die Fliege zu fangen) steht die Absicht. Die

Absicht entsteht im Kopf, also durch Denken.

Wenn wir diese kleine Fliege vor uns sehen,

die uns zuvor vielleicht noch minutenlang um

die Ohren geflogen und uns beim Lesen

gestört hat, dann steigen Aggressionen in uns auf

und wir wollen sie unbedingt fangen und

zerklatschen. Wir DENKEN also, dass wir sie

fangen und unschädlich machen wollen, um in

Ruhe weiter unserer Beschäftigung nachgehen

zu können. Wir DENKEN weiter, dass wir sehr

schnell nach der Fliege schnappen müssen, da

wir wissen, dass Fliegen je Hauptauge ca.

3.200 Einzelaugen haben, mit denen sie alles

in Zeitlupe wahrnehmen können und es

dementsprechend schwer ist den Quälgeist zu

fassen. Während wir diese Denkprozesse

druchlaufen verkrampfen sich automatisch

unsere Muskeln in einer unkontrollierten

Weise, sodass wir rein körperlich gar nicht

mehr in der Lage sind, schnell zuzuschnappen

und die Fliege zu fangen. Wenn wir aber

unseren Geist kultiviert haben, Achtsam im

Moment weilen, unseren Ehrgeiz und alle

Vorstellungen von Vergangenheit und Zukunft

loslassen, der Fliege gleichmütig

gegenüberstehen und quasi absichtslos, aber

mit einer grundlegenden Intention unseren Arm

nach ihr ausstrecken, dann verkrampft unsere

Muskulatur nicht und die Bewegung wird aus

dem Körper heraus (und nicht aus dem

Denken heraus) geschmeidig und blitz schnell

ausgeführt. Damit steigen unsere Chancen

ungemein! Sollte es doch nicht geklappt

haben, dann werden wir uns darüber auch

nicht ärgern, da wir unsere Bewegung

eigentlich ohne Ehrgeiz und Anhaftung an ein

vermeintliches Ziel ausgeführt haben. Vielleicht

freuen wir uns sogar, dass dieses Lebewesen

weiter seine Runden ziehen kann und vielleicht

fliegt das Kleine Tier ohnehin in der nächsten

Sekunde in einen anderen Raum und stört uns

nicht weiter. Jeder der versucht seinen Geist

zu schulen und diesen Fliegen-Fang-Test

Sicherheit zumindest höher, als mit dem

bisherigen Ansatz. Ein weiterer Nebeneffekt

ist, dass der auf diese Weise erfolgreiche

Fliegenfänger in den seltensten Fällen das Tier

töten wird .

 

Conclusio

So wie mit dem Fliegenfangen, verhält es sich

mit allen Dingen in unserem Leben. Die oben

dargelegten Grundsätze eines kultivierten

Geistes helfen uns im Beruf, in der

Partnerschaft, lassen uns gesünder älter

werden, verschaffen uns Freude bei den

einfachen Dingen des Lebens und machen uns

zu ausgeglicheneren, symphatischeren

Menschen. Jede Tätigkeit, die wir ausführen ist

nur eine Tätigkeit. Tieferer Sinn entsteht durch

einen wachen, nicht anhaftenden, nicht

urteilenden Geist in dem Achtsamkeit, Liebe

und Mitgefühl kultiviert werden. Dies ist der

Weg, den jeder auf unterschiedliche Art

beschreiten kann: durch Kampfkunst, durch

Yoga, durch Malen, durch Kochen, etc. Fehlt

der rechte Geist, so kann nichts Sinnvolles

entstehen. Letztendlich gibt es nichts zu tun,

außer mit beschriebener Geisteshaltung im

JETZT zu verweilen. Es gibt keine Ziele zu

erreichen, es gibt nichts zu gewinnen. Mit der

rechten Haltung wird alles zu uns kommen und

alles von uns gehen. Das Leben ist ein Fluss

und wird sind hier um darin zu schwimmen.

Schriftliche Arbeit, im Rahmen der Prüfung für den dritten Inneren Grad, von Jörg Leiseder, an der Dao-Schule-Tirol.

Kampfkunst, wie wir sie in der Dao-Schule-Tirol praktizieren, als Mobbingprophylaxe.
Kampf wird nur dann zur Kunst, wenn er weit über den körperlichen Zweikampf hinaus geht.

Vorab:
Auf den ersten Blick scheint es offensichtlich, dass Kampfkunst und Kampf überaus geeignet sind, Mobbing zu begegnen. Auch vorbeugend scheint ein zuerst ausgeführter Angriff hilfreich. Ein Präventivschlag allerdings, würde die Gewaltspirale frühzeitig eröffnen. An dieser Stelle kommt der wichtige Unterschied zwischen Kampfkunst und Kampfsport zum Tragen.
Um einen Vorsprung in sich anbahnenden Auseinandersetzung zu haben, kann optimal eingesetzte Kampfkunst ein frühzeitiges, möglichst phantasie- und lustvolles Aussteigen aus der Gewaltspirale ermöglichen.
Definition:
Mobbing1
, ein aus dem Wort „Mob“ (der Pöbel) abgeleiteter und aus der Ethologie entlehnter Begriff, wonach einzelne Personen in ihrer sozialen Gruppe ausgegrenzt, schikaniert und terrorisiert werden. […] Mobbing wird von kleineren Streitereien und punktuellen Gewaltausbrüchen dadurch abgegrenzt, daß die Angriffe wiederholt und über einen längeren Zeitraum hinweg in der Absicht erfolgen müssen, dem Opfer Schaden beizufügen. Mobbing kann dabei von einer oder von mehreren Personen durchgeführt werden, und es richtet sich typischerweise auf ein Opfer, das sich nicht wehren kann (Stärkeungleichgewicht). Schließlich kann Mobbing sowohl direkte Formen annehmen –
wie etwa Drohungen oder körperliche Angriffe – sowie indirekte Formen wie etwa Ausschluss aus der sozialen Gruppe.
Die meisten Forscher betonen laut Christoph Seydl2 folgende Gesichtspunkte:
 Verhaltensmuster: Mobbing bezieht sich auf ein Verhaltensmuster und nicht auf eine einzelne Handlung.

Die Handlungsweisen sind systematisch, das heißt, sie wiederholen sich ständig.
Der Umstand, dass es sich bei den Angriffen um Verhaltensmuster handelt, bieten einen guten Ansatz für ein Training.
Es ist nicht notwendig, mit einzelnen Attacken sofort fertig zu werden, sondern man hat Zeit, Strategien zu entwickeln und erproben.
Durch wiederholte Rollenspiele im Training gewöhnt sich der Teilnehmer daran, dass fremdes Fehlverhalten nicht gleich das eigene Ende bedeuten muss, vielmehr werden alternative Möglichkeiten des Arbeitens und Lernens erarbeitet, eine Neuorientierung der Persönlichkeit kann beginnen.
Es ist nicht notwendig, einzelne Handlungen überstürzt einzusetzen, vielmehr soll ein Horizont für bisher unbekannte Handlungsstrategien erschlossen werden. Mit der Lust am Entwickeln und Erproben wird auch der Druck genommen.
 Negative Handlungen: Mobbingverhalten kann verbal (zum Beispiel Beschimpfung), nonverbal (zum Beispiel Vorenthalten von Informationen) oder physisch (zum Beispiel Verprügeln) sein. Solche Handlungen gelten üblicherweise als feindselig, aggressiv, destruktiv und unethisch.
In diesem Fall ist es wichtig, aggressive und fremdgesteuerte Aktionen rechtzeitig zu erkennen, um in weiterer Folge rechtzeitig agieren zu können.
Im Training gilt es Menschen und Situationen „lesen“ zu lernen und passende „Antworten“ aus den „Effeff“ parat zu haben.
 Ungleiche Machtverhältnisse:
Die Beteiligten haben unterschiedliche Einflussmöglichkeiten auf die jeweilige Situation. Eine Person ist einer anderen Person unter- beziehungsweise überlegen. Dazu ist kein Rangunterschied nötig. Eine Ungleichheit kann durch die bloße Anzahl bedingt sein: Viele Personen gegen eine Person.

Im Training werden die eigenen Stärken entdeckt und geweckt, um situativ mächtig zu bleiben.
 Opfer: Im Handlungsverlauf bildet sich ein Opfer heraus, das infolge ungleicher Machtverhältnisse Schwierigkeiten hat, sich zu verteidigen.
Durch das Training wird mindestens einer der vorangegangenen Punkte zu den eigenen Gunsten verändert, deshalb entwickelt sich der Trainingsteilnehmer nicht mehr zum Opfer aus.
Theorie:
Weder beginnt Kampfkunst, noch endet sie. Vielmehr ist sie eine ständige Bereitschaft zu agieren, anstatt zu re-agieren. Hierin liegt auch der Vorteil für die Mobbingprophylaxe:
Geschultes Vorgehen ist kaum mehr von einem Gegenüber abhängig, der Kampfkunsterprobte behält seine Handlungsfreiheit.
Kampfkunsterprobte sind es gewöhnt, die gleiche Problemstellung auf unterschiedlichste Weisen zu lösen, sich erneut darauf einzustellen und etwas Ungewohntes zu versuchen.
Durch die Erfahrung des Übens, der Erprobung verschiedenster Konzepte auf körperlicher Ebene, stellt sich früher oder später wie von selbst ein lustvolles Experimentieren mit unterschiedlichen Strategien auf geistiger Ebene ein.
Das Prinzip „Schere-Stein-Papier“:
Es gibt keine allgemeingültige „Siegertechnik“; sehr wohl aber passende Strategien, meist mehrere, durchaus unterschiedliche.
Die hohe Schule der Kampfkunst ist ähnlich kreativ, wie ein kunstvoller Scherenschnitt, eine am Stein geschliffene Schere, oder einen phantasievoll mit Papier verzierter Stein. Kreativität bedeutet die Selbstsicherheit zu haben, das Täter – Opfer Szenario verlassen
zu können.

In der Dao-Schule-Tirol unterscheiden wir drei Energien/Konzepte: „gerade“, „rund“ und
„spiralig“.

„Gerade“: verdrängend und entgegengehend „Pflug“ „Wing Tsun“
„Rund“: aufnehmend und ausweichend „Schaukel“ „Tai Qi Quan“
„Spiralig“: vorbei leitend und eindringend „Kreisel“ „Baguazhang“

Selbstverständlich sind die Übergänge fließend und eines kann im anderen gefunden werden.
Für eine Erklärung scheint mir eine prinzipielle theoretische Abgrenzung notwendig, da es sonst leicht zu Verwirrungen kommen kann.
Bietet mein Lebensstil eine große Angriffsfläche, so kann ich auf verschiedene Weisen damit umgehen. Mich persönlich könnte man wegen meines äußeren Erscheinungsbildes verspotten, da ich weder einer Mode oder einem Trend folge, noch sonst irgendwie darauf
achte zu gefallen oder entsprechen.
Mögliche Antworten, den 3 Konzepten folgend, könnten sein:
Gerade:
Ja das ist schon lange bekannt, und unwichtig. Bitte wenden wir uns wieder dienstlichen Angelegenheiten zu.
Rund:
Ja, die Geschmäcker sind eben verschieden. Kann ich ihnen irgendwie behilflich sein? (Ist Ihre persönliche Meinung denn von Belang in einer dienstlichen Besprechung?)
Spiralig:
Ja gewiss, können sie das genauer erläutern, eventuell sogar schriftlich? Ich bin übrigens sehr daran interessiert, warum sie das überhaupt der Erwähnung wert finden.

Außerdem verwenden wir folgende 6 „Tierstrategien“:
„Hase“:
Der Hase verlässt die bedrohliche Situation, denn außerhalb der Reichweite des Fuchses (Mobbers) ist er kein Opfer.
Bin ich beispielsweise einer Partie zugeteilt, in der ich gemobbt werde, so kann ich um eine neue Zuteilung bitten.
„Kluger Rabe“:
Der Kluge Rabe redet sein Gegenüber in Grund und Boden, wichtig ist allein, dass er den längeren Atem als der Opponent hat.
Ähnlich wie ein Igel, zusammengerollt zu einer Kugel, keine Durchdringen zulässt, so bietet auch der Kluger Rabe keine Lücke für einen verbalen Konter.
„Kobra“:
Die Kobra schüchtert durch Drohgebärden ein. Zeigt sich mächtiger als sie ist, denn sie möchte ihr Gift sparsam, also möglichst nur für die Jagd verwenden. Egal ob es sich um einen physischen oder psychischen Angriff handelt, ist die erste Reaktion ein bestimmter (aggressiver) Schritt auf das Gegenüber zu, ohne jedoch dessen Privatsphäre zu verletzen, so verseht das gegenüber für gewöhnlich, dass es kein „leichtes“ Opfer vor sich hat.
„Erdmännchen“:
Erdmännchen holen sich Hilfe.
Einerseits ist in einem Betrieb der Arbeitgeber/Vorgesetzte verpflichtet seine Arbeitnehmer zu schützen, andererseits sind dafür auch Betriebsräte/ Vertrauenspersonen eingerichtet. Außerbetrieblich sind dafür die Kammern und Gewerkschaften zuständig.
Auch Freunde und Verwandte können in manchen Situationen unterstützend mitwirken.
„Cooler Wal“:
Der Coole Wal ignoriert die Einladung in die Gewaltspirale.
Wichtig ist hierbei, dass man, so wie ein Lotus den Wassertropfen abperlen lässt, man wirklich auch zutiefst Innen ruhig ist und nicht im geringsten auswicht, sondern standhaft da bleibt ohne die geringste Verbindung zum Täter.
„Stachelschwein“:
Das Stachelschwein kämpft unerbittlich. Jede nur erdenkliche Möglichkeit wird versucht.
(In der Mobbingprophylaxe sollten wir uns auf legale Mittel beschränken.)
Schlägt ein Versuch, sich zu behaupten, fehl, so verliert das „Stachelschwein“ keine Zeit, von einer anderen Seite, mit einer anderen Strategie oder Technik, erneut seine Glück zu versuchen.
Praxis:
Bei uns im Training ist bei den Übenden meistens folgendes Schema zu erkennen: Zuerst wird „irgendetwas“ „irgendwie“ gemacht, dann kommt langsam, ansatzweise eine Idee „wie“ und „warum“ und mit der Zeit und weiterem Üben auch langsam eine Ahnung,
worum es dabei gehen könnte.
Kampfkunsterprobte sind es gewöhnt, die gleiche Problemstellung auf unterschiedlichste Weisen zu lösen, sich erneut darauf einzustellen und etwas Ungewohntes zu versuchen.
Denn im Training werden die diversen Vorgehensweisen anhand verschiedener Situationen erklärt und somit immer wieder in neuem Kontext geübt, dadurch erlebt man die verschiedensten Einsatzmöglichkeiten derselben. Zwischendurch werden die geübten Vorgehensweisen auch an vermeintlich Unpassenden „Angriffen“ ausprobiert, dabei gibt sich die eine oder andere unerwartete, passende „Antworten“.
Auf diese Weise wird Eintönigkeit und Kleinkariertheit vermieden.
Beschränkt man sich grundsätzlich darauf, den Kopf, also die Steuerungseinheit, auszuschalten, so wird man immer wieder überrascht sein, wie ein Angriff, geduckt von unten, als möglicher Zwischenschritt, erfolgreich zum Ziel führen kann.
Beim Erlernen einzelner Techniken nähert der Übende sich stetig einem Ideal an. Es wird im Laufe der Zeit zur Gewohnheit, nicht „perfekt“ anzufangen. Gleichzeitig gewahrt man, dass auch verbesserungswürdige Versuche schon Wirkung zeigen. Es ist also hilfreicher
etwas zu tun, als nichts zu tun, denn was ich nicht kann, kann ich noch lernen.
Man lernt, dass Steigerung möglich, ja normal ist.
In der alltäglichen Anwendung zeigte sich, dass es schon hilfreich sein kann, anders als üblich zu agieren, um eine neue Reaktion zu provozieren. Dies allein irritiert bereits den Mobber, um sein Opfer in Frieden zu lassen, denn sobald das „Opfer“ Handlungsspielraum hat, fällt es aus seiner zugedachten Rolle.
Dies ist in erster Linie der gewünschte Erfolg, als Zugabe kann diese Aktion auch noch bewirken, dass der Mobber generell weniger darauf baut, andere herabzusetzen.

Fazit:
Durch Theorie (3 Konzepte, 6 Tierstrategien, „Scher-Stein-Papier“, Gewaltspirale) und Praxis (Rollenspiele, Übungen, Wiederholung, Variation) ist eine solide Basis für eine alltagstauglich Mobbingprophylaxe gewährleistet.

Begriffsklärung
Wofür brauchen wir Zeremonien und Rituale überhaupt und in der DAO-Schule-Tirol im speziellen.
Welche Zeremonien und Rituale gibt es zur Zeit in der DAO-Schule-Tirol, wann werden sie durchgeführt?
Bedeutung von Handlungen und Gegenständen Zeremonien in der Lakota Tradition in aller Kürze

Begriffsklärung

Die Zeremonie ist ein, nach einem festgelegten Protokoll oder Ritus ablaufender, förmlich-feierlicher Akt.
Ein Ritus ist eine in den wesentlichen Grundzügen vorgegebene Ordnung für die Durchführung zeremonieller Handlungen.
Ritual ist eine nach vorgegebenen Regeln ablaufende, meist formelle und oft feierlich-festliche Handlung mit Symbolgehalt. Ich verstehe hier Symbol als Sinnbild.

Wofür brauchen wir Zeremonien und Rituale überhaupt und in der DAO-Schule-Tirol im speziellen.
Zeremonien dienen verschiedenen Zwecken:
1 Sichtbarmachen von unsichtbarem, zum Beispiel geistiges oder spirituelles Wachstum.
2 Sichtbarmachen im großen Kreis, zum Beispiel eine bestandene Prüfung.
3 Sichtbarmachen von (Lebens-)Abschnitten.
4 Vorbereitung auf Neues, zum Beispiel Initiation.
5 Vorbereitung und / oder Durchführung der Kontaktaufnahme, zum Beispiel Schwitzhütte;
kontakt zur Geistleute-Welt oder Hochzeits Vorbereitungen.
6 Verstärkung des Gebetes.
7 Reinigung.
8 In der Lakota Tradition (wie auch anderen) dient die Zeremonie dazu das Profane zu heiligen.

Das soll heißen, jeden Eingriff in den Fluß des Tao gleiche ich, mit größt möglicher Kraft, so gut wie Möglich aus.
In der DAO-Schule Tirol folgernde Punkte: 1;2;3;4;5 als Teil von 4; 6 als Teil anderer Punkte; 7 detto; 8 sollte durch Achtsamkeit alltäglich werden.

Rituale vielseitig, daher nur im Speziellen:
Begrüßung und Verabschiedung: Gong und Verbeugung.
Vorbereitung: Basisflow.

Bedeutung von Handlungen und Gegenständen:

Altar: Er bezeichnet die Art wie die Zeremonie durchgeführt wird. Somit beinhaltet er sowohl den geistigen wie auch den materiellen Rahmen.
Bei jeder Zeremonie gibt es ein Grundgerüst für den Altar. Da auch jeder Zeremonienleiter seinen eigenen Altar hat, muß er eine Möglichkeit finden diesen, in den der Zeremonie einzugliedern.
Schwitzhüttenplatz: Feuerkreis symbolisiert den Kopf, kuppelförmig gebogene Stangen, mit Decken/Fellen abgedeckt den „Bauch von Mutter Erde“;
Schwitzen: neben Blut und Fleisch das einzige Opfer das ich selbst erschaffen habe.
Heilige Pfeife: besteht aus Kopf (Stein) / Yin und Stiel (Holz) / Yang. Beim Gebrauch sind Yin und Yang vereint, wodurch die Schöpfung immitiert wird.
Fasten: zeigt den Geistleuten Entschlossen- und Ernsthaftigkeit und bringt einen diesen näher, da diese auch nichts essen.
Gebets Beutel: mit jedem wurde gebetet, auf daß die Geistleute die Gebete dort abholen können.
Virginischer Tabak: gilt den Lakota als sehr sensible Pflanze, daher kann sie auch die „leisesten“ Gebete übermitteln. Dieser Umstand macht Tabak zu einem wertvollen Geschenk/ Opfer.
Spenden : Ich bin Vermittler und kann nicht dafür verlangen, daß die Geistleute ihre Arbeit verrichten, es gereicht mir zur Ehre erwählt zu sein, familiärer Charakter.

Zeremonien in der Lakota Tradition in aller Kürze:
In der Überlieferung der Lakota gibt es sieben heilige Zeremonien, die von der „Weissen Büffelkalb Frau“ gebracht wurden und Eine ältere nämlich die Schwitzhütte. Der Überlieferung nach später entstandene Zeremonien lasse ich außer acht.
Jenen, die ich Selbst erlebt und erfahren habe, widme ich mehr Aufmerksamkeit.
Da Zeremonien verstärkend wirken und die volle Konzentration gebraucht wird, sollten alle Vorurteile, Emotionen (meist unkontrollierte Reaktionen auf Gefühle),, unvollendete Arbeiten“, bewußtseinsverändernde Substanzen, sowie Kameras und moderne Kommunikationstechnologien von ihnen ferngehalten werden.

Die 7 Gernerationen:
Sie sollten bei allen Handlungen berücksichtigt werden, da sie von unseren Taten betroffen sind.
Diese Geisteshaltung soll vor kurzsichtigen und egoistischen Entscheidungen bewahren.
Es gibt einige Dinge die wir aus Respekt tun, und andere die wir aus Respekt unterlassen.

Die Heilige Pfeife:
Heilige Pfeife: besteht aus Kopf (Stein) / Yin und Stiel (Holz) / Yang. Beim Gebrauch sind Yin und Yang vereint, wodurch die Schöpfung imitiert wird.
Für jede Himmelsrichtung wird eine Priese Tabak in die Pfeife gegeben, somit ist alles vertreten.
Der Rauch, eine Kombination aus Feststoff (Ruß) und Gas (Luft), symbolisiert die Verbindung zwischen Materie unf Geist.

Schwitzhütte: Reinigungzeremonie

Schwitzhütte: kuppelförmig gebogene Stangen, mit Decken/Fellen abgedeckt; spirituelle und körperliche Reinigung im „Bauch von Mutter Erde“(daher der sicherste Platz auf Mutter Erde) In die Mitte werden die heißen Steine in eine Vertiefung gelegt, am Rand sitzen die
Menschen. Der Zeremonienleiter gießt Wasser auf die heißen Steine.

Visionssuche:
Traditionellerweise werden alle Kosten von den Suchenden getragen, da diese um die Unterstützung sowohl des Zeremonienleiters wie auch der Gemeinschaft gebeten haben.

 Ziel der Zeremonie ist es, seine persönliche Lebensaufgabe „Das Geschenk“ kennenzulernen.
Dadurch sollte sich mit der Zeit mehr Klarheit über seinen Platz in der Gemeinschaft und WIE man sich einbringen kann, entstehen. Um jedes Detail zu verstehen braucht es oft Jahre. Vor Antritt sollte sich der Suchende im klaren sein, daß er etwaige Geschenke auch annehmen wird.

Selbst wenn die Zeremonie als Übergangsritual eingesetzt wird, sollte der Suchende wenigstens eine Frage klar formulieren. Je klarer die Frage, desto eher kann man auf eine klare Antwort hoffen.
Mit dem Hintergrund dieser Frage, bittet der Suchende den Zeremonienleiter seiner Wahl, um Führung durch die Zeremonie.
Sobald der Zeremonienleiter zugestimmt hat, beginnt für den Suchenden, streng genommen, die Zeremonie.
Idealerweise verzichtet der Suchende ab diesem Zeitpunkt auf jegliche bewußtseinsverändernde Substanzen.
Der Suchende bereitet seinen Schutzkreis, eine Schnur mit Gebetsbeutelchen vor. Einstweilen wird sie aufgerollt aufbewahrt.
Weitere Vorbereitungen sind von Zeremonienleiter zu Zeremonienleiter verschieden.
Reinigung der Gegenstände die auf die Visionssuche mitgenommen werden.
Reinigung der Suchenden und Unterstützer in der Schwitzhütte. Verabschiedung in die Geisterwelt.
Die Suchenden werden zu ihren Plätzen gebracht, und der Altar errichtet. Mindestens der Schutzkreis, weiteres vom Leiter abhängig. Der Schutzkreis wird nur zur Toilette und zum Rauchen verlassen.
Gewöhnlich ohne Essen und Trinken in dieser Zeit.
Währenddessen im Lager: Gemeinschaft pflegen.
Zum vereinbarten Zeitpunkt Rückkunft.
Reinigung und eventuelles mitteilen. Zurück in der materiellen Welt.

 Meine Erfahrungen 

 Ohne Erwartung stelle ich mich auf das Erhalten der Klarheit ein. 
 Es ist für mich selbstverständlich, dass ich Klarheit erlange. 
 Ich weiß dass ich keinen Anspruch auf Erlangung von Klarheit habe. 
 Klarheit kommt immer nur aus mir. 
 Ich
muss mich aufgeben um Klarheit zu empfangen. 

 Als Suchender genieße ich das Fehlen des Alltags. 
 Das heist für mich, dass keine Arbeit ruft (Geschirr, Kochen, Holzholen, E-Mails lesen,…). So habe ich „freie“ Entscheidung wann ich bete, schlafe, träume, denke,…. Eindrücke der Umgebung, wie etwa Straßenlärm, Kirchenglocken… gehen mich nichts an. 
 Ich habe Zeit meine Gedanken zu beobachten, meine Komfortzone zuerkennen. 
 In diesem Zustand können mehr Feinheiten im Innen wie Außen wahrgenommen werden, es verschieben sich die
Prioritäten, die Aufmerksamkeit rutscht mehr und mehr in den Moment. 
 Für mich werden Zusammenhänge offensichtlicher. 
 Dankbarkeit für den Moment und alles, kommt auf. 
 Das Ich /Ego verliert an Bedeutung, vielleicht da kein Gegenüber zu nahe kommen könnte.
Verschmelzung wird spürbarer: zB.: Tiere auf meinem Körper stören mich kaum. 


 Als Unterstützer nehme ich Prozesse und Bedürfnisse Suchender wahr, zB: Kopfweh, Kälte, Durst..
Ich lerne das Opfer der Suchenden, auf Essen und Trinken zu verzichten, zu schätzen, dies kann sich steigern bis zu einem Gefühl von Gnade/tiefgreifender Dankbarkeit. 
 An dieser Stelle fällt mir auch die biblische Zeile „Einer trägt des andern Last“ ein.

Bei alle nun folgenden Zeremonien stütze ich mich ausschließlich auf das Buch: „Die heillige
Pfeife“ von „Schwarzer Hirsch“. Selbstverständlich spielen meine Erfahrungen mithinein.

Diese Zeremonie wird zur Läuterung der Seele eines Toten durchgeführt, dadurch soll ihr die Rückkehr zu „Wakan Tanka“, der Schöpfungsmacht, auf direktem Wege ermöglicht werden, eine Gnade die „reinen“ Seelen vorbehalten ist.
Außerdem soll dadurch die liebe füreinander gestärkt werden.
Das Zurückalten der Seele beginnt, wie alle Lakotazeremonien, mit der Übergabe der gefüllten Pfeife an den Zeremonienleiter.
Auf Geheiß dessen ein Tipi, Kegelzelt der Prärieindianer, errichtet und geweiht wird. Hierin wird die Seele für ein Jahr betreut beziehungsweise zurückgehalten. Dadurch weilt der Verstorbene noch in der Gemeinschaft.
Quasi als Aufenthaltsort für die Seele wird eine Strähne des Verstorbenen im Rauch gereinigt und in ein Heiliges Bündel gegeben. Dieses wiederum bekommt einen besonderen Platz im Tipi.
Der zurückgehaltenen Seele muß täglich Nahrung gebracht werden. An schönen Tagen wird das Bündel, an einen Dreifuss vor dem Tipi, gehängt, hier kann es besucht werden, Gebete und Opfergaben sind erwünscht.
Jene die um die Zeremonie gebeten haben, die „Seelenbewahrer“, müssen all dies organisieren.
Ein „Seelenbewahrer“ darf weder Kämpfen noch töten oder auch nur ein Messer berühren.
Um die Seele wieder frei zu lassen muß der Abschlussritus vollzogen werden. Hiefür wird die ganze Gemeinschaft benötigt. Im wesentlichen geht es um die Vorbereitung der Seele, ihre Wanderung anzutreten.
Als Abschluß gibt es ein rituelles Letztes Essen für die Seele im Kreis des Stammes. Das Bündel mit der Seele wird zum Tipi hinaus getragen, dabei bittet der Zeremonienleiter die Seele auf sein Volk zurückzuschauen/aufzupassen. Sobald das Bündel das Tipi verläßt ist die Seele freigelassen.
